Twitter has become a very popular and powerful form of social media not only in terms of its impact on online businesses but most importantly it has provided a new platform for communication. It bridges the gaps among people of different races and beliefs. And the fact that it’s free adds up to its charm.

Presidents on Social Networking
Presidents of various nations have decided to use social media as their means of reaching out to their people. Twitter in particular has become one of the favorite choices among them. So don’t be surprised if one day you will see a nation address tweet. Some of the Presidents who have twitter accounts are as follows:

*President Jerzy Buzek – President of the European Parliament with Twitter account http://twitter.com/jerzybuzek. He also has a Facebook account: http://www.facebook.com/jerzybuzek.
*South Korea President Lee Myung Bak – His Twitter feed #BluehouseKorea has been able to attract 3,000 followers. – Cool.
*President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela- Has become one of the top Tweeters in his country and hired 200 people just to help him manage his very popular account.
*President Barack Obama of the United States of America- He does not only keep one account but several social networking accounts:

There are also presidents like Chinese President Hu Jintao who chose to open up his own microblog as a way of showing the world that he is in support of the advancement happening in the worldwide net despite the fact that freedom of speech is stifled in his country. The People’s Daily which is the official paper of the Communist Party of China is managing the microblog.
